International museum of wine labels
Address: via Giacomo Leopardi, 2 - Cupramontana
The museum is housed in the seventeenth century Palazzo Leoni. Established in 1987 from an idea of the art critic, Prof. Armando Ginesi, the museum collects, classifies, preserves and studies wine labels, displaying the labels in groups. The collection has about 100,000 specimens of labels from around the world. Renovation of the museum in 2004 provided an opportunity to place large visual displays relating to wine and marketing of wine by use of the label, showing the collection grouped into themes.
