The church is located in Via Roma and was built in 1492 on the site of a former monastery church of the late thirteenth century dedicated to St. Bartolo which had fallen into disrepair. Work on the reconstruction began in 1806, and was designed by Luigi Bellonci (1765-1839), a pupil of the Capponi. Inside, in the apse of the church you can admire the great fresco of the "Madonna della Misericordia", dating back to 1497 by the Dionisio brothers, Jerome and Joachim Nardini of St Angelo in Vado. The paintings on the central ceiling are the work of Raoul Bartoli made in 1934.
