The medieval castle of the early 1500s still preserves its defensive walls with its six bastions having different shapes.

The front gate is dominated by corbels, that on the other side has an arch supported by pillars.

The ramparts have been rebuilt by Domenico di Giovanni from Bellinzona in 1503.
